The owner is so amazing. She has so much knowledge about wine and so many things, she’s brilliant. The place is perfect, beautifully put together, easy elegant vibe and an incredible selection of wines. Perfect right before a show at the 92Y.
Bar Florine is my favorite wine bar in the UES! There is always an excellent selection of wines and a great atmosphere. Perfect addition to the neighborhood! Julie is super knowledgeable about wine and always gives great recommendations on different wines to try based on what is available. I would also highly recommend Bar Florine for private events - I recently had my birthday there and it was great. It was easy to schedule and a super fun night. Perfect for a party of 20-40 guests. This place has a lot of potential, but the owner is extremely cold. Her vibe is very off putting and dismissive. While the bar was entirely empty and we were one of 2 other patron, she rewarded us by making rude condescending comments. We were gracious respectful guests. And when we left, she said, thanks for coming, please never come again. You’re welcome for being one of the only people to support your business.
