The Barking Dog on the Upper East Side was a great spot for a Friday evening meal. There was plenty of seating available both inside and outside, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The music wasn't too loud, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. We ordered a hamburger and a grilled chicken sandwich, both served with delicious, crispy French fries. LOVED this place! Went with my dog Max and they were so accommodating and patient with us. Their dog menu is so cute, I got Max the grilled chicken which he loved of course. I ordered the shrimp po boy which was delicious as well! And serving portions are pretty big, my sandwich was huge as well as my side salad. This is going to be my new go to spot this summer with my dog.
We visited here for a late lunch and to celebrate pup’s birthday. The outdoor seating blends into Urban Plaza, and makes a lively atmosphere. I got the eggplant dish from the lunch menu (ends at 4pm) -chef’s kiss, my partner got the burger and said it was delish. We both tried the soups and margaritas, they’re good! The dog menu is a hit too, Boccedog LOVED his bowl- glad I got a photo before he devoured it. The experience was great overall.
