Looking for a place to use the restroom, I discovered this cafe one Saturday evening. Thank god I did! The raspberry and passion fruit tarts were really delicious. I deducted 1 star because of the vegan blueberry muffin (not pictured here). It was atrociously sweet. But otherwise the tarts, the ambience, the cute cafe charm and of course the sweetest employees will probably draw me again to this place.
I love checking out new cafes when I’m in NYC and was excited to try this place but unfortunately did not have the best experience. I ordered a chai latte and tart which I have no complaints but when I was finishing my tart I noticed these greenish specs (it was not the white sugary powder) and upon further inspection it was moldy raspberries. I was so disgusted because at this pointed I was already done with my pastry so who knows how moldy it was.. please make sure to inspect the fruit this go
Out on a long walk around the upper east side. After lunch further uptown, I passed by Bel Ami and decided to go in. Last came here about 6 months ago. Today the weather was sunny and warm so this place was very busy, both inside and out. Stood in line 10 minutes to order but then got a hot chocolate and a chocolate muffin. Then another 5 minutes to find a table, inside. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Nice vibe. Will come again. Back again on a very hot day. Again very busy. No tables
