Early on a Sunday morn, I stopped in for coffee but ended up getting more than I expected. It’s a chill but a dimly lit place — dim lighting seems to be the thing in some NYC businesses right now — that I had to use my phone’s flashlight to read the menu. The staffer was not only nice laying out their offerings for me, but he also prepared everything. I usually don’t reviews but I come here a lot since I work close by, so I hope the management sees this. The food is good, but the staff is consistently disorganized and very slow. Not sure if they are understaffed, but they take far too long to take your order after you sit and then waiting for your food can take another 20+ minutes. The staff also seem to get confused often - they will bring you your food first, then your cutlery separately, then your drink ten minutes later, which just doesn’
Sunday 9:30am so it was pretty empty... Also, maybe partly due to the location that's kinda isolated so there's less foot traffic? Avocado smash was nice -- the presentation was definitely a pleasant surprise. Overall I liked it enough for 4 ⭐ Matcha latte -- their default was with almond milk -- was also pleasantly interesting. I think it was my first time having a matcha latte with almond milk. I think I like it. 4 ⭐ albeit slightly on the small side portion wise.
