★★★★★ Bread Story was such a wonderful surprise in New York City ☕🥐 The coffee was excellent — smooth, rich, and perfectly comforting alongside their pastries. But the real star for me was the croissant: incredibly crunchy and flaky on the outside, while the inside stayed soft, buttery, and beautifully layered. Exactly the kind of texture a great croissant should have. I also tried the Jerusalem bagel stick, and it was absolutely outstanding — flavorful, unique, and something I’d gladly come
I had some high expectations winning first place for best croissant in nyc 2025. The plain croissant had a heavier browning/toasting compared to other croissants I’ve had from aristocault to Costco or Trader Joe’s mini croissants. Breads bakery laminate was great but I was not a fan of the taste and had to toss. 1 star Rugelach was ok. Service and atmosphere were great and prompt. 5 stars.
Cute spot for a quick bite. The cheese sticks were fresh & buttery even though I stopped by close to dinner time. The vegetables were fresh as well & the hummus tasted perfect. However, the service wasn't very friendly, the cashier was a bit rude, and rushed me out. It was close to their closing time, but I still had more than half an hour to quickly enjoy my meal. Also, the atmosphere is not the best. Looks like there's nobody to clean the tables & the floors once the customers leave.
