Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company in Astoria is one of those neighborhood spots that lives up to its reputation. It’s always busy, which already tells you a lot, but the flow is generally well managed and worth the short wait. The atmosphere is casual and lively, very much a local favorite rather than a tourist stop. This is a popular local bagel shop located along Broadway in Astoria. They offer a wide variety of bagels, flavored cream cheeses, and drinks like coffee, perfect for breakfast or brunch. You can dine in or take out. The bagels are large and filling, and they’re always generous with the cream cheese! I love the bagels here, they’re super dense and the cream cheese is nice and thick. This is my go-to NYC bagel restaurant. They also have the make your own bagel sandwich which I frequently take advantage of.
