Stood in line for an hour to visit the café. Did not disappoint. Beautifully appointed. Lovingly restored. Snagged a lovely booth by a large picture window looking out onto 5th Avenue. The menu looked good. Since I had already had lunch, I just had the hot chocolate with rum. Yum! Can’t wait to come back and try the full menu and linger longer. Excellent, authentic and well balanced Austrian dishes and drinks. Life piano enables authentic and enlivened atmosphere with swift service and very kind staff. Clean premises, friendly service and quick kitchen to top off. No reservations, slim chances to get in. Do reserve ahead if you're up to experience this must do New York City- Austin import space! Wholeheartedly recommend.💕👌
Beautiful dining room and prompt service and gorgeous plating. The waiters can’t really pronounce the names of the menu items either so English or pointing works well. I decided to add rum to the Viennese hot chocolate and it was perfect. The whipped cream was rich but not sweetened which balanced out the sweetness of the hot chocolate.
