I usually enjoy these skewers from a street-corner cart, but during our team meeting I was invited to try Chili Tavern BBQ. The place is quite tight and narrow, so it’s not ideal for large groups. The skewers are seasoned well, and if you want an extra kick, they provide a bottle of chili powder at the table. Service was just okay. Overall, it’s a decent spot for skewers if you don’t mind the cramped space and pricey skewers.
Ordered different types of skewers, and all of them except the black pepper beef was served cold if not lukewarm. When confronted the waiter, she said to place them on the metal tray which had candles underneath. It didn’t make the food any hotter but preserved the same temperature which was still cold.
Great! Good are super delicious and they have really good beer! 137-38 Northern Blvd, Flushing NY 11354
