This contemporary bar offers cocktails, frozen drinks & a Mexican food truck in the backyard.

Indoor space is slightly dark and cozy. A few TV screens. There's a covered patio where the food truck is. And finally a couple tables that are truly outside. You order at the bar, drinks served there, and food is picked up at the food truck. On a Monday evening, the place had a steady flow of people and a full patio room for 8PM trivia. Drinks were quite hit or miss for me. I do not recommend the hibiscus margarita. I switched to beer thereafter, tasting the Lager which was fairly standard an
Longtime neighbor first-time reviewer. Chilo's is a versatile kinda spot, if it's early in the afternoon they have some games out for a laid back and family amendable atmosphere to catch up with old friends, as well as themed nights later in the evening that can get pretty busy. The vibe is always welcoming, I have watched a fair number of events here and felt the community support and anticipation (especially on election nights). This is a real BedStuy gem whether you've been in the neighborhoo
Finally tried it via the pop up at the closed Mayfield restaurant site and everything was great. Honestly I was hoping to walk in there and order my favorite renditions in the world of steak tartare and cavatelli, but the duck, smoked beef brisket and slow roasted pork tacos were better than those at Chavela's and Gueros which are both perfectly good. There are a million taco and Mexican places around though. I seek out less common places like Mayfield as first choice. Wish it would reopen! ;o(
