I tried this Korean dessert spot that specializes in dduk (떡). They have cream dduk skewers, meal cups and bowls made with Greek yogurt, and the traditional hodduk (호떡) along with some tea and barley drinks. Most of what I tried was just ok, but I really liked the warm and chewy texture of the grilled hodduk and it wasn’t too sweet. I ordered the “Best Set,” which comes with a skewer, a meal cup, and a drink, and unfortunately everything about the experience was disappointing. The kiosk machine actually omitted my order at first, we probably should’ve taken that as a sign to just leave. The skewer was the biggest letdown. It’s basically what’s inside the pastry, but the texture was dry with clumpy butter that tasted only slightly sweet with a very faint matcha flavor. It was then doused in heavy cream that immediately leak
I personally like this spot as their dduk is grilled instead of fried! Less oily and less sweet too! Would be a great place to grab something sweet but not too much. Staff was really nice too!
