5 star for atmosphere, location is great feels very European and casual with bar seats on the street but sadly we got pretty screwed over by the waitress. She used my Amex to pay for another table’s bill. This is fully illegal. She then told us it was our job to sort this out with them when clearly the responsibility was hers. We had also been charged for four more drinks (from that table) and she then suggested we get three ‘free’ drinks. She served us watered down aperol spritz and then told u
I’m not from NYC, so I really appreciated the local experience here. Contrary to some of the reviews, I had a great experience with the bartender with the longer hair - he was really nice. The whole place felt very cozy. I’d love to add it to my regular list, but sadly I’m based in Europe.
This is one of those places where magic happens. It’s clearly a roulette: it gets very packed, and sometimes it’s hard to get your drink fast, but hey! I’ve had the greatest adventures here. I’ve met so many interesting people, had the best accidental dates. I even met Margaret Qualley here, and on my birthday I had Matt Smith at my table before we all went to karaoke with friends. Its one of my favorite NYC places.
