  We recently completed a one-night stay at the Conrad New York Downtown, booked through Amex Travel, and had an excellent overall experience. The hotel was able to accommodate our early check-in and upgraded us from our original double-bed room to a suite on a higher floor in the southwest corner.   The Conrad New York Downtown is a truly superb hotel. The property itself is beautiful and exceptionally well-maintained, but what really makes it shine is the staff, who are incredibly friendly and helpful. ​While the rooms have a smaller footprint which is typical for New York hotels they are intelligently designed to maximize the area and actually feel quite spacious.   Had a great stay at the Conrad New York Downtown last week. The hotel was beautiful, and the suites were spacious and spotless, though the parlor side felt just a little dark. I especially loved the in-room water filter system! The staff was welcoming throughout the stay. The location was quiet and relaxed, while still making it easy to get anywhere in Lower Manhattan. Definitely a great experience, and I’ll absolutely stay again. Big shoutout to Danny & JC for their hospitality!
