This place is truly a local treasure and it is so easy to see why it has been around for so long. Everything they serve is incredibly fresh, and the selection is just massive compared to your average shop. The staff are always super friendly even when it is busy, and I love that they are open all the time so you can grab a treat whenever the craving hits. It is one of those classic spots that just feels like home as soon as you walk through the door.
I have been there 5 times in last couple months to buy chocolate jelly donuts, which is there best seller. Each time I visited, they had none available. You would think they would make more of these since they sell fast. Yesterday they had none again so I bought mixed dozen. I couldn’t believe it cost me $24.00 for a dozen donuts. Almost twice the price of Dunkin’ Donuts and 40% more than Krispy Kreme. Unfortunately I will not be returning.
I can not even tell you how sad my experience made me this morning. We are constantly at Country Donuts and I always order for my son's birthday here because they are peanut free. Sadly though earlier this week, my husband went in looking to place an order for our son's birthday donuts for this upcoming week and was told the manager wasn't in and gave them our number to have him call me. 1.
