Stalwart that's been serving Northern Italian cuisine for over 20 years in a lush, old-school space.

Stumbled in here one night without a reservation and they were able to fit us in so long as we left by 730 for a booked table. They provided and incredible 3-course service in only an hour and we were blown away by the service and food. A very authentic Italian experience. Cant wait to go again, next time with a reservation.
Agh here’s the thing. This restaurant is classic Italian dining: simply prepared food, intimate dimly lit restaurant, and staff that wants you to take your time/not rush. With that being said, I feel like there were a couple of misses that will prevent me from going back. When we first sat down it took an abnormal amount of time for us to get menus which was immediately off putting. But again, I’m used to American dining where they are less worried about the experience and more about the transa
Food was so-so. Two of our dishes were overcooked. The octopus was a sad portion that was overcooked. The bone-in veal chop was tasty but totallly overcooked. The carpaccio and truffle ravioli were really good. It felt like they were really rushing us. We could barely drink a sip of wine before they were pouring more. Was that good service or them trying to turn a table quickly???! Not sure.
