Wow!! What an extremely amazing establishment for a Vietnamese food in Astoria Queens. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the dumplings and the piña colada. The banh mi was out of this world. Best chicken banh mi i’ve ever had. I will say the service was a little lackluster that night no hate on the staff. “Because we are together…” I stepped into District Saigon in Astoria. As soon as I took my seat, my eyes were drawn to the phrase flowing across the wall: 'Tuyệt vời khi ta bên nhau.' I was told it means, 'It’s wonderful because we are together.' I could immediately feel a deep, warm sense of hospitality. The banh mi was delicious. Best I’ve had in NYC. The Pho was watered down both. In Virginia, we call this type of pho “Korean-style”… it’s when the authentic flavors of viet food are catered to the local Asian community… it can be much improved. There is no difference in flavor in their most expensive bowl of pho and their cheapest bowl. I will definitely be back for the bahn mi but I hope the pho broth improves… The chicken was too salty too, but the Taro fries were so good
