Just had dinner at Dongwon & it blew away my expectations. We wanted to go for a light dinner but ironically, it was opposite of that. They give you an abundant amount of food which are all fresh and flavorful. Service is great! Very attentive staff. Highly recommend!!
Great food. It's a LOT of food. Super delicious to try all the diff cuts of tuna. I recommend to wait a bit after they serve so the tuna can melt a bit more. That way you can taste more of the fats(flavors). The eel was surprisingly good as well.
We love this place for food. They have private rooms and food quality is pretty good. However, chef or employees are not too attentive I would say. We go there almost every other weekend in the winter in NY with the same reservation with the same room. They know us but no welcoming words, extra beverage or anything like that. Also, the sashimi portion has been reduced starting 2023. As a regular customer, I could definitely see that.
