Visited Effy's Cafe on York Ave yesterday with my mom for a Yom HaShoah (holocaust rememberence) event. I had been wanting my mom to try Effy's food for sometime, and this was the perfect occassion. While everydish I have tried from Effy's has been wonderful, my mom was craving a tuna melt and suggested we split one. Effy’s has the most delicious crispy breaded French fries, lattes, and pesto grilled cheese. This is the perfect affordable place to grab brunch in Yorkville, although sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table.
Many people recommended this place to me, and I finally got a chance to come today. The servers were very nice and friendly. I had a “Taste of Tel Aviv” to start the meal.
