((4.75 stars)) Elbow Bread is a small bakery planted at the intersection of Ludlow, Division, and Canal Streets. cozy brightly-lit space--no seats inside but there are small tables set up outside for those who want to place to perch, but most customers grab-and-go or grab-and-eat-on-the-go. there are a variety of baked eats here from various sour dough loaves to sweeter options like cookies and kolaches to savory options like bialys and schmaltz scallion knots as well as other comfort eats. if
This bakery is delicious — every pastry is beautifully presented and clearly made with care. The croissant was genuinely perfect, though $7 is definitely on the steep side. Still, I’m happy to support a small business doing things well. There are two benches outside if you want to enjoy your pastry right away. I’d come back to try more.
Great work yall. That’s a good gluten free muffin. The sour cherry ginger muffin… yum yum. The passion fruit ricotta donut is also fire. It weirdly tastes like lemon chicken (that Canadian-Chinese take out dish). But delish. Perfect texture. I went at 10am on a Sunday and they still had donut. Another time I went at noon and there were no donuts left. The line moves fast.
