Very pretty drinks and decent prices, mostly $5-$7. The service was ok, but slow - we stood at the counter for a while before they even took our order. The place is spacious with limited seating and they have a good happy hour with $5 beers and $12 espresso martinis.
I’ve had matcha here many times and have always enjoyed the flavor, which is why I keep coming back. However, today’s drink was poorly prepared—there were noticeable clumps and it wasn’t properly whisked. The texture was not smooth at all, which was quite disappointing. I hope the staff can pay more attention to the preparation, as it really affects the overall experience.
This review is late as I was here a while ago (I don’t live in Queens, but was at my aunt and uncle’s who do), but I finally made it to Elm Roastery in Elmhurst and I’m so glad I did! This place is a legit community gem—the owner, Lester has a great story, the shop has locally roasted beans, and there’s such a warm vibe inside.
