Small, buzzy Latin American cafe stuffing empanadas with a unique array of savory & sweet fillings.
From Google Maps reviews.
The food was overpriced for what you get. The empanadas were very small at $4 each, and even the coffee was tiny. The portion sizes and prices didn't feel justified.
Everything about this place was beyond expectations. The empanadas are top tier, no excessive oils or grease dripping. Several flavors, enough for any taste preference - sweet, regular and if you're into spice - my favorite is the jalapeño empanada with their green salsa - absolute fire! They even have a dessert empanada! The only downside was the fact that it is a corner bodega-sized place so there is not much seating area, but I guess that comes with the territory of it being an empanadas plac
We came here after a visit from the Queens Zoo and enjoyed our first visit here! It's too bad there are so tables to sit at, just a couple side benches and a tall table. Oh well, we liked the flour ones the best, the beef is a classic, and my fave, the ham and cheese reminded me of too much of a hot pocket, but we enjoyed the chicken/potato, and sweet plantains. The homemade sauces are excellent! If you're in the area, stop here and enjoy!
