Adventuring around Brooklyn Heights area and popped in here for some gelato and espresso….both very tasty. But what wasn’t tasty was the welcome or any level of hospitable behavior from the staff….the vibe was they’d prefer we weren’t there. Seemed to bother them when we were looking for their gelato selection (which was off the side on the way to the bathroom) …but even when we left and thanked them, they literally looked at us like we were crazy….dang. I recently stopped by and ordered the Dumbo 10 and a Cappuccino, and overall, I had a really pleasant experience. The Dumbo 10 was absolutely delicious you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. The bread was perfectly toasted, the fillings were well-balanced, and the flavors came together beautifully. Ordered a hazelnut latte. The coffee overall taste could taste okay if there was enough in the drink, but the “small” was 90% milk and mostly hazelnut flavoring. Asked the girl in front and she made it seemed like it was not possible to add some coffee or change it. Most places immediately offer to remake it or pour and add more coffee or espresso.
