Fiftylan is a very famous Taiwanese drink shop. Today, I tried their Golden Bubble Milk Tea. The most unique part is that the pearls are yellow, although the texture is quite similar to regular tapioca pearls. They were very chewy and bouncy. It is not exactly my favorite type of texture, but the drink was still enjoyable overall, so I’d give it four stars.
I got the roasted oolong milk latte with 50% sugar and less ice. The milk tea was very watered down and didn't have much tea flavor. Even with less sugar I found it to be extremely sweet. When I had the same thing in Taiwan it was not this sweet even when I ordered same level of sugar. Also found the service to be polite but lacking in terms of speed. It took a while for my drink to be ready. Compared to other places they always offer a bag, here it will cost you money.
Super good drinks!! I got the oolong milk tea with boba and it was delicious. The boba here looks a bit different from what I usually see but I was pleasantly surprised by the taste! So good :) The worker Tina helped me a lot and let me know that some drinks were a bit sweet (I said I didn’t want it too sweet). She is very kind and helpful. Drinks also came out fast. Thank you!
