Filaga in Chelsea Market is an absolute standout. The quality is immediately apparent, with fresh, authentic ingredients and a perfectly executed crust. I tried four slices the Inferno, Zucchini, Margherita, and one other and all were fantastic. The pizzaiolos were incredibly welcoming, too; I asked if I could take a picture, and they actually posed for me, which adds another star in my book! While $8.95 a slice is pricey, the flavor and hospitality make it worth every cent. A must visit.
Filaga inside Chelsea Market is a must-try if you’re craving authentic Italian pizza. The pizza has that perfect brick-oven flavor with a crispy yet soft crust, and the ingredients taste fresh and high quality. The downside there’s limited seating, but it’s a great spot to grab a quick bite while exploring.
Filaga Pizzeria—Sicily Called. I Answered. Chelsea Market is a full contact spot and anyone who has navigated its main concourse during peak hours knows exactly what I mean. The crowds, the energy, the sensory overload — most people keep their heads down and power through. Filaga made sure I was not one of them. The moment I overheard this place was run by Sicilians, my half-Sicilian DNA basically took over my body and eating anyplace else was no longer optional. “Cu mangia bonu, campa bonu.”
