Go-to place for a classic Chinese dim sum experience. Consistent flavor and service. Got dim sum trolleys on weekends, you barely see that in China anymore. Can get crowded so come early, but tables turn around fast enough. My favorite, pork short ribs, shrimp dumplings, chicken feet and piggy buns. Never gets tired! Great for big family gatherings and wedding corporate events because of the round table, big space and media equipments.
Visited Golden Unicorn during our trip to New York City. The restaurant is spacious, lively, and has the classic dim sum atmosphere that is becoming harder to find nowadays. The dim sum was generally acceptable, especially considering we were dining in NYC. Service was efficient, and there was a good variety of dishes available. However, having traveled extensively in Asia, we felt the quality and refinement of the dim sum did not quite match what you can find in places such as Hong Kong, Singa
I’m usually not a big dim sum person, but I genuinely enjoyed the food here. The standout for me was the century egg porridge - it was so well done, flavorful, and not overly salty, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely come back just for that! The chicken feet were also very tasty and nicely balanced, not too sweet. My husband enjoyed the other dishes he ordered as well, so overall we had a good meal. As for the dim sum itself, I’d say it was good, though not the best I’ve ever had.
