This place is both good and bad. Starting with the good: the atmosphere is perfect. It feels very homey, authentic, and cozy, living up to the restaurant’s name and theme perfectly. The service is also amazing, with our food coming quickly. Now to the food. The food was frankly disappointing. The flavors felt muted and muffled, with the sting of the peppercorns being just enough to make it slightly uncomfortable. What a vibe! Love everything about this spot from the decor to the service to the food! A+. I also ordered a veg dish and upon noticing they brought me out the eggplant as well and omgggg it’s my new favorite. My family loves Chinese food and this is going to the top of our list. Very reasonable price and good portions as well. Can’t go wrong here!
Cute little shop serving Hangzhou-style cuisine. The decor in here is cool (little period pieces on the walls and cute zodiac chopstick holders, etc.), reminds you of stepping into some of the old-school movie sets. The appetizer of soup dumplings (4) was good, the chili chicken (fried, not that spiced) was just ok. The mains - crispy eggplant was good, a little spicy and crisp outside to soft eggplant inside.
