Tasty big hot buns! 😅 This is the first grandpa Chen spots that I’ve tried, and it did not disappoint. They’re famous for their pineapple char siu buns, which were worth the hype. We also tried the pineapple bun with egg yolk, both of which we enjoyed a lot. Normally the egg yolk buns are a bit more salty, but I didn’t mind the sweet take on this bun. Only $2.50-$2.95 per bun, such a great price! The store is kept nicely, and there is parking in the back. The workers there were very nice.
Just went to Grandpa Chen and everything was phenomenal. The roast pork bun was delicious, and the pineapple bun with roast pork was an absolute standout—soft, sweet, and savory all at once. Paired it with a perfectly sweet milk tea, which tied it all together. The space was clean and the atmosphere very welcoming. Parking in the back made it AMAZING. My daughter absolutely loved the egg tart—flaky, creamy, and not overly sweet. Definitely a 5-star spot. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Has been a frequent customer of Grandpa Chen in Little Neck. Was around the area and decide to give this one a visit. The Roasted Pork Bun is amazing as usual, I also buy the pineapple, york, and the matcha flavor. My wife like the york and matcha more, me personally like all of them except the matcha one. Brought two bag worth of buns home to enjoy it on the comfy sofa at home (and for my wife). I missed the deal by one day, apparently it ended on Sunday, but the store owner recognized me and
