I've purchased many char siu buns since they've opened and the quality has gone down. Last week I purchased six char siu baos and was extremely disappointed. The bao had a vinegar like taste and there was so much bao and little meat. This isn't an isolated incident. I thought I would give it another try but after last week I will go to Mei La Wah to buy my baos.
I discovered this place because it’s next to my school. The pastries are very delicious and filling! My favorite is the Pork Buns and Portuguese egg tarts. The hot dog bun is also very good. I recommend it.
I go to school in the area and was excited to see a Chinese Bakery so close. The smell hypnotized me into walking in. However, the menu is printed only on the cash register so as I looked, the cashier stared at me. It seemed like she wanted to turn me to stone. The prices are cheap but so is the quality.
