I’ve lived in New York my entire life and eaten Indian food all over the city, and Green Chilli on Nostrand in Bed Stuy is serving some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Chef-owner Anis is Bangladeshi and trained under renowned chef Hemant Mathur, and the food speaks for itself. My friend from Texas said it’s the best Indian food she’s ever had. I think it’s the best out of the places I tried in NYC but the best Indian food is in New Jersey. The curry in NYC is much sweeter/ acidic and less savory but if that’s what you like then go for it. I got the paneer tikka masala with chilli garlic naan. The naan was nice and fluffy. The eggplant curry was delicious and so was the Chana masala
The food was absolutely delicious. The price was quite reasonable too. The service was excellent. Must try for anyone in the area.
