I stopped in while running errands to try their homemade empanadas. I tried the spicy chicken and beef. These are hands down the best empanadas I have ever had—and make sure you warm them up! The kind staff will likely do it anyway. They are baked with homemade dough and the meats with deeply flavored with various spices, perfect ratio of salt. I can’t decide which I enjoyed more. Initially I just purchased one, at $5, but had to run back in for another! They also have affordable fresh acai bowl
This place has the BEST empanadas. I highly recommend getting the cheese one. The workers are always very friendly and I love the vibe of the cozy shop. Great neighborhood spot to stop by after going to Trader Joe’s. I’d recommend looking into getting an air-fryer to heat up the empanadas instead of a microwave (but it might take too long). A side of salsa or marinara sauce with the empanadas would also be awesome. We will be back!
Cute cafe right by the pedestrian entrance to the Queensboro Bridge Friendly service, decent smoothie and the empanada was nice and chewy without being greasy Would return if I'm in the area!
