I’ve been a regular customer here for quite some time, which is why this experience was so disappointing. A couple of months ago, I was able to order the lunch special and enjoy it inside the restaurant without any issue. When I returned recently, I was told the lunch special was takeout only. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but there was only one customer in a very large dining room, and I was essentially being told I couldn’t sit down and eat my meal inside. Neighborhood gem and great value for the family. Gyros are the favorite as well as the piping hot fries. I'm a fan of the bifteki, haloumi, white bean soup and the new spicy chicken gyro stuffed with fries. It's a big hand held sandwich! If there's room for dessert, try the Orange cake!
It took me at least 1.5 hours to travel from my workplace to Gyro World restaurant, and it was worth the trip. When I arrived, it was empty and very spacious, with plenty of seating. I showed my Yelp pass to a staff member, who asked me to sit anywhere. They brought the gyro to my table after I sat for about 15 minutes.
