Met up with a friend here and it was a little quiet on a Monday night MLK weekend, but the bar tender was phenomenal! The space is very cute and cozy! Love how they have black owned liquors which the bar is very curated and intentional. I love Gin and Tonics mainly for a more “healthier” option when enjoying a cocktail. The bartender recommended Julía which is a black owned Gin, I tend to reach for Hendricks or Monkeys which they had both, but the Julía was a smooth finish and great choice! Also
Came into Hatch on a Tuesday and had a great time. Tanesha made fantastic drinks and was very attentive and engaging. The R&B set the mood, and they had optional karaoke. I'll definitely be back to see her and have some more drinks!
They replaced BedVyne with another Black owned business, and The Hatch is a vibe. The menu is more extensive and they serve light bites, which is a nice upgrade. The DJs are still good and the energy is fun. I do wish they moved the seating later in the night or made more room for dancing, but I get that maybe that is not the atmosphere they are aiming for. Overall, I had a really good experience. Drinks are good, service is good, and when they have DJs, the vibe is always there.
