This circa-1936 Yorkville eatery boasts rib-sticking German grub & plenty of beer to wash it down.

A very fun themed German restaurant with delicious food and great service. Highly recommend the wiener schnitzel and sausage platters. Best bratwurst we’ve ever had and the red cabbage goes so well with the sausage and the schnitzel. The spatzel is a great side as well. Skip the potato pancakes, they are fried well and aren’t bad, but everything else was so much better and portions are huge. Also shout out to Rae, a fantastic and friendly server who gave the best recommendations.
True German restaurant. We’ve been here with German friend and enjoyed our visit. Traditional food and great choices of tap and bottled beer! Prices for the food a little bit higher then average in NYC
Very good service and the food came out much quicker than in the past. I always get the pork shank and it did not disappoint. We had a party of eight and everybody enjoyed their dishes and the beer was delicious.
