Made a reservation for 2 on the morning/day (a Friday) of via their website, and got an email confirmation around noon. The place is small but they have overflow seating at their sister restaurant next door which has almost the same interior. They accept walk-ins too. Very cool little spot on the upper east side with a creative menu and great service. I don't usually start with service, but our server, Jake, was superb --- he should be in the service hall of fame! Friendly, helpful, funny, but yet not intrusive. Heidi's food is creative and delicious. We had the Bruschetta with Heiloom Tomatoes and Mozzarella (photo) as an appetizer. Easily a recent favorite spot for sure. Love how the vibes are low-key. The lamb shank was incredible and really hearty. The shishito peppers were excellent too. A strong recommend for anyone in the neighborhood, ideally for 1-2 people.
