This was a great find in Manhattan. One block away from two different subway lines in a nice neighborhood. Rooms are typically small as it's NYC, but they were clean and well kept. The hotel staff was nothing short of outstanding. My wife had stayed here a month and a half before our family trip and we rebooked from our original hotel to this one based on her original experience, which was very positive. Overall it was a good hotel in an area close to Time Square and tons of restaurants nearby. My main complaint is that we specifically booked a room that accommodates 5 guests (through Expedia) and it was listed that roll-away beds are available. When arriving at the hotel we were refused a roll-away bed "due to fire hazards" and 5 people had to share 2 queen beds with no other option provided to us, which was not ideal at all and made for an uncomfortable stay.
I had a very disappointing experience at this Hilton Garden Inn location. I booked a room around 11:50 PM and arrived at approximately 2:00 AM, only to be told that my reservation had been canceled because of a “late check-in.” Apparently, the hotel considers any arrival after 12:00 AM to be late, which was never clearly communicated during the booking process.
