We wanted some basic Chinese-American food and we got exactly what we expected. Started with the fried wontons. Went here with a group of 8 a few days ago. I’d eaten here about a decade earlier but couldn’t remember it. Anyway, it was a mixed bag. The fried dumplings and roast pork were great; the egg rolls were fine but not as good as the other famous old school Chinatown Cantonese-American restaurants. Hop Kee is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in China town. The atmosphere, the vibe, the food. It’s all phenomenal. Their Beef Chow Fun is the best around. Their portions are large and everything is delicious!!! A must visit anytime you’re in the area.
