This spacious Chinese restaurant specializes in traditional Hunan-style fare that's big on spice.
From Google Maps reviews.
This was my first time visiting after their recent renovation. The dishes here are authentic Hunan cuisine, with a strong focus on spicy and bold flavors. Everything pairs incredibly well with rice, and my personal favorite goes to the crayfish and frog in chili sauce. The portion size was absolutely huge. Lastly, I just want to mention that the staffs working there were also very patient in introducing their specialty dishes to us. I highly recommend everyone to come here for some hot and spicy
It was my first time at Xiang Shui Shanzhuang, and as someone who doesn’t eat spicy food, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but I loved it! The staff was very helpful and recommended several non-spicy options that were incredibly tasty. The stone pot fish, Mao’s braised pork, and salt & pepper shrimp were all delicious. The restaurant feels authentic, the portions are generous, and the service is great. Perfect spot for anyone wanting to try Hunan cuisine, even if you can’t handle spice!
The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and have just the right level of spice. Service is fast, portions are generous, and the menu has many standout dishes. Definitely worth trying if you love bold, comforting Hunan cuisine.”
