We loved our stay at the Hyatt Place Chelsea. It was perfectly located near the subway for easy coming and going. The staff and front desk were always helpful, welcoming and kind. Our room was small (we expected that!) but no complaints here! It was perfectly organized and very clean and comfortable. We never heard any other guests on our floor ever. Rooms: (4/5) Only because the rooms were so small. We didn’t even use the sofa bed because it is so packed, but that is just how the city is. I’m a big germaphobe but the hotel is very clean, the sheets and towels smell washed, and the staff is constantly moving and cleaning. Service: (5/5) Exceptional. Everyone is attentive and very kind. We weren’t sure about our parking and the staff moved the cones for us in case we got a ticket. Concierge also let us stow our bags for free for almost 3 hour
I'm not going to lie, I was quite hesitant to stay at this hotel after booking due to all the negative reviews about the elevators, tiny rooms, and bad smells. I was even warning my husband about it before we arrived! To my surprise, our experience was completely different. There was never any wait for the elevators, the room was clean, and the AC worked great. We had zero issues during our stay. The front desk staff also deserve a mention.
