Great spot. Always do there for my favourite draft beer Jake’s Ale. Their french fries are amazing! The two bar tenders are great. Brandon is great!
Had a great pint of Guinness, and the mac and cheese bites were really good too. Brandon was super attentive without ever being pushy, and he made the experience even better with some great conversation.
I was pretty bummed about this one. I went in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. The bartender was fine, but overall the service was lackluster, as were the drinks. I love a dark, dive bar and was pretty pumped after reading other reviews about Jake's... but it was disappointing. I specifically asked for food recommendations, and the chicken/mango spring rolls were pretty bland, with a sauce that tasted like almost straight mayo and a flavor profile that didn't make sense with mango.
