Being from the Midwest, I am always skeptical of non-Midwest steakhouses (call me bias 😊) but goodness, I am already looking forward to another visit to Jake's! We ordered several dishes, and what a delight! We shared the porterhouse for 2 and it was perfectly charred, tasty, and medium rare inside. The French Onion Soup was in the sweeter side, but rich and herby. The Mussels with spicy marinara was spectacular, and was likely our favorite. The sauce had a kick and we ended up just eating
It’s been a minute since we’ve been to Jake’s, but tonight was a great reminder of why it’s such a staple. They’re obviously famous for their steaks, but for the first time ever, we actually skipped the red meat because we were just craving other things—and honestly, the kitchen killed it. The Atmosphere & Energy/ We got there for an early dinner around 5:30 PM. It wasn’t super crowded yet, but it still had a great energy with plenty of people there for happy hour. Got here for my brother’s birthday! Everything thing is excellent. We ordered a lot and everything hit!!!! The server is so nice and had a really good service.
