The pastry was perfectly crisp and flaky, with a satisfying crunch in every bite. The wild berry filling struck a great balance between sweet and tart, making it a refreshing dessert that wasn’t overly rich. A simple treat, but one I’d happily come back for.
First time tried this Portuguese egg tart, I was pleasantly surprised. It was extremely rich and smooth in texture, with a delicious flavor. The only drawback was that it was too expensive and too small. 😆
At $4 each (or a much better deal at $20 for a pack of 6), they are worth every penny. Grab a box, ask for a dusting of cinnamon and powdered sugar if they have it rolling, and enjoy one of the best Portuguese tarts outside of Belém.
