I have a lot to say about John’s Pizzeria, some positive and some criticisms. They have a lot of variety on their menu, and they are the only pizzeria on the block. The prices are higher than your typical NYC pizzeria but when you see the restaurant aspect of the place serving hot pastas and cooked dishes, you can see why they are charging the extra premium. I don’t classify it as a a pizzeria, it’s a restaurant. They also justify the price tag by sending out a healthy portion size, honestly one
my teenage son loves John’s Pizzeria on Parsons Blvd in Jamaica, Queens, so we find ourselves here pretty frequently — and for good reason. We usually order the chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, and chicken rollatini, all of which are consistently delicious and generously portioned. But the real hidden gem is their sourdough roll — honestly one of the best things on the menu and not to be missed. It’s a great neighborhood spot that keeps us coming back.
I grew up eating John's Pizza and although it's changed hands several times, the current owners have done a good job keeping up the legacy. Great NYC thin crust pizza the way it's supposed to taste, crunch, and chew. Great reliable neighborhood joint, I hope to be back!
