The Ube Cake was very, very good. It was fluffy, but not super fluffy and soft like some other cakes. Instead it's a little spongy, which doesn't make it bad but it does make it different! The Ube is done well, and compliments the cake nicely - it is not overly sweet or artificial tasting. 9/10 The Ube Flan was also quite good. The flan portion was eggy and firm. This place is definitely worth the hype! This is my first time trying a fully Ube cake and Ube pandesals. They were both so yummy - we had to microwave the pandesals because it’s a 2hr commute to and from this cafe and home!! But the microwave did not remove any of the pandesal’s deliciousness. We were disappointed by the lack of the Ube drink both times we went… once in the afternoon (3pm) and second later at night (7pm).
Definitely get the Halo Halo! Reminds me of “scrambol” with its smooth, milky & ube flavor and the shaved ice is similar to korean bingsu. Sooo good! I also enjoyed the ube cake & spanish bread with kapeng barako!
