Unexpected gem in Astoria. This place embodies community in all the best ways, and despite only having been there twice I am absolutely certain I’m going to try to make it my “third place.” Special shout-out to Rebecca behind the bar and Ryan on emcee duty (or maybe he’s just an incredibly charming looker who knows how to get the party started!) In any case, I haven’t felt that welcome in a place for ages. Why wouldn’t I go where kindness and kegs go hand in hand!
Neighborhood dive Irish bar with a pool table, no taps, bunch of sports on tv, and $5 cans of high life and pbr. Bartender was friendly. Guy next to me was very drunk. I'd go back for a beer if I were in the area and by myself.
