Casual, family-run restaurant for Malaysian fare, including Hainanese chicken, roti canai, and curry mee.
From Google Maps reviews.
Koo Koo Chicken is okay. I did like how they bring out the plates and utensils with hot water to sanitize. I ordered the Fish Head W. Preserved oil Rice Noodle, the flavor was good. The Hainanese Chicken was okay but the rice was a bit dry. The tofu was a bit bland compared to the other ones I had from other Malaysian store. It's not a big store so it gets busy and we were somewhat rushed out since there were people waiting. Note : They only have one high chair.
We ordered take out. When we placed the order, the lady took our order was very nice and explained to me the menu. ( which is very rare in Chinese restaurants in Bklyn) 🤣 We ordered Hainan chicken , Satay ( chicken and beef ) each serve comes with 6 skewers. The chicken was very tender and with the Satay sauce makes it so savory. Also the famous Malaysian lasak noodle soup . We ate all noodle and the soup was so good to be thrown away. So my mom kept it for next meal and she said she would ad
We didn't make any reservations so we had to wait 30 minutes but it was totally worth it!! The food there was so amazing!!! We wanted curry chicken but they already sold out. The owner was nice and came up to explained that to us and apologized. We ended up getting the curry beef brisket instead and it was amazing too!! The chicken skewer were great!!
