First and last time getting food from here. Ordered 2 lunch specials via grubhub... very disappointed. The sushi rice was old and the seams were falling apart for the rolls. The only saving grace was that the pieces on the nigiri were good. The ones in the rolls not so much. The misi soup wasn't too salty which I appreciated... but later thinking about it, they probably added more water to extend the life and be cheap seeing how they were using old rice... not to mention the tofu were the smalle
We came here for lunch on a Sunday late noon, around 2pm. Ordered age tofu, hamachi kama, sushi deluxe, a la carte (2 toro, 2 yellowtail, 2 saba). The age tofu was alright, but you can taste it was fried from old oil (age tofu, age oil🙃😐). From the sushi deluxe, the tuna have this mildew smell, like my kitchen towel on a humid day if not washed well. Yellowtail also have the same kind of smell but mild. Quiet little restaurant. I ordered takeout and got a shrimp hibachi and salmon hibachi. I really liked the salmon because it was tender, compared to another celebrated place on union turnpike near St. John's which is always pretty tough with sticky sauce. The vegetables it came with were also varied and tasty, again compared to other restaurants. The fried rice it came with also good.
