L’Amico is the kind of place that makes an ordinary meal feel special. The vibe is warm and stylish, service is friendly and polished, and the food is consistently delicious—fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully plated. The restaurant is attached to the hotel through the lobby, so it's very easy to access if you're staying at the Kimpton. I had breakfast 2 mornings I was there, mainly out of convenience. Both mornings were quiet and peaceful, just a few other guests. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I had some kind of eggs Benedict dish (don't mind my travel buddy action figure). Took my fiance here for our 3 year anniversary. Place was supposed to be 5 stars across the board. Food LOOKED great. I ordered the wood roasted chicken. Overcooked and dry. My fiance ordered the scallops. They were super mushy. Might want to check the date or the supplier. Also, ordered "still" water. Waiter came over with an open bottle and we got charged $10 for it.
