Amazing food! Although I ordered takeout this restaurant serves the best chips with guac hands down in all of NYC! the churrasco steak was 4/5 just because I was expecting a different taste but the steak was juicy nevertheless the rice and beans tasted really good. Other reviews are probably fake because my food tasted just fine I have nothing bad to say concerning this resteraunt definitely be ordering delivery again sometime soon
This is a rare find: a genuine, small, family-run restaurant in NYC. If you want authentic Salvadoran and Latin American food, this is the place to go. I had shrimp ceviches, a fantastic, juicy, and cool lunch on a hot summer day; my friends got pupusas and a sausage and rice breakfast. The price is also extremely affordable. Service was warm, fast, and friendly. It doesn't have the posh appearance of a high-end restaurant, but it makes you feel like you're in an old-school New York establishmen
We had lunch at La Cabaña Salvadoreña after visiting The Cloisters. It was our first time eating Savadoreñan food and the pupusas and tostones were delicious. Our mistake was not to pour the sauce over the pupusas, something we later saw other guests do, but, the pupusas were very tasty anyway. We now know how to eat them!
