A memorable Mother's Day dinner! Let me start by saying YES, THE WAIT WAS LONG! I made a 5:30 reservation and ate dinner by 7:30, however the woman host gave us an honest heads up when we were seated, and shared that since the owner went viral literally 3 days ago, she's been overwhelmed with crowds of people overnight that she's working to accommodate! Online reservations didn't send notifications to their team due to high volume, and staff were absent due to the holiday leaving her shorthanded
Had a great time here. They greeted us immediately upon entering. Restaurant was clean and had a nice decor. Food was great as well . We got the snapper and goat. Everything is made to order so it takes a while but it it is worth it because you get fresh hot food ! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the automatic 20% gratuity considering that we were only a party of two, I thought that was only done for parties of 4 or more. But our waitress was cool so it’s ok.
I attended a birthday party there a couple days ago. Fried whole red snapper was very good and impressive, but according to prefix menu it was not paired with diri djon djon and they wouldn't serve it upon request. Also in the dish served with the snapper was only 90% onions, 5% carrot and 5% colored sweet peppers in a salty olive oil dressing it was not pickliz. The crab cakes were nicely seasoned and chunks of crab very very good. The rest of the menu was forgettable and not even worth a 2nd
