Low-key eatery dishing up Latin staples, from pork to fried chicken to rice and beans.
From Google Maps reviews.
Just went there today and ordered alcapurria, morcilla and 2 pasteles. I was looking forward to this. When I got home everything except the morcillas was awful, bland, tasteless. The alcapurria was not made with masa but it tasted like harina. As for the pasteles, I threw it away after the 2nd taste. Horrible!!!! Also did not have the masa consistency. The taste was actually nasty. I used to love this place.....USED TO. Never again!!
Went here recently recommended by someone and ordered 2 alcapurras and 2 jugos de tamarindo and was not what expected. Not going back. Awful taste on that order.
Great Latin Puerto Rican and American food. Located on East 149th near Lincoln Hospital and CVS, long lines most of time. The pig is their pleasure from the ears to the feet , including the stomach ( chittlings ) Yes!. The fried pork is my favorite. Oxtails on Saturdays and rice and beans and rotisserie chicken Everyday. Glad they are in my neighbor !
