Landmark Irish tavern, originally opened in 1868, with classic decor & a pub-grub menu.
From Google Maps reviews.
Loved this old fashioned bar, that's been around for ages. When you step inside you feel like you're in another era. The space is big and includes a back room. I love the wood paneling. The Cocktails are good and the prices are reasonable. I'll have to go back and try the food. The service is good.
A nice enough pub with friendly staff. The wood paneling everywhere makes the place feel dark and cosy, and it certainly feels old and traditional. There isn’t the biggest range of drinks available on draught but the collection of whiskeys is extensive. The dining tables are very traditional and give a more sophisticated vibe, which might be why it seems so popular at lunch time. With the nice relaxing atmosphere I’ll be returning.
A small establishment with good food and spirits. I had a salad and the Shepard pie. Very good pie. Also tasted some of a friends fries with the garlic mayo and they were some of the best French fries I ever had. Good service from the server. Would recommend while in NYC.
